Getting management buy-in for innovation projects

Management buy-in.gifIf you're having trouble getting management buy-in for your new innovation project, it's worth taking a look at the 24 "management buy-in" case studies posted on the Straits Knowledge site. As Patrick Lambe of Green Chameleon points out, the 24 case studies are meant to convey insights direct from the corporate trenches - honest appraisals about what went right, and what went wrong - with the implementation of different knowledge management (KM) initiatives:

"The objective of this collaborative research project is to discover a variety of strategies for getting management buy-in for knowledge management initiatives. It covers both senior and middle management levels. In the first phase of this project, we are gathering examples from the practical experience of knowledge management practitioners, where buy-in has been sought, whether or not the attempt was successful... In the second phase, we will be working with the material gathered and KM practitioners in a number of locations (Singapore, Australia, maybe more) to identify issues, themes and potential approaches."
